One-rep Max

Use our calculator to work out the most you could lift for a single repetition, and what weight to start each exercise with.
SAVE THIS RESULT

Estimated from a set taken close to failure, using the Epley and Brzycki equations. Both are dependable to about ten repetitions and drift apart beyond that, so a heavier set of fewer reps gives a better estimate. Technique, fatigue and the exercise itself all move the real figure — treat this as a starting load, not a target to test.
